Heather Ridge Infant School

School Meals

Heather Ridge Infant School is a healthy school which means we promote healthy eating in both our school dinners and packed lunches.

At Heather Ridge Infant School we continue to provide children with enriched provisions. We offer a safe and calm environment to promote a positive dining experience.

Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM)

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitiled to Free School meals under the UIFSM initiative.

Since September 2014 the government has provided funding for every pupil in reception, year 1 and year 2 to have a free school meal.  Parents could save around £400 per year per child and feel assured that their child is receiving a healthy lunch
