Heather Ridge Infant School

School Council

At Heather Ridge Infant School the children's thoughts and ideas matter.

The School Learning Council play a big part in helping make our school the happiest place to be!

At the beginning of each term the councillors are elected.  For any child interested they have to write what qualities and attributes they would bring and their class then votes.

The council meet on a regular basis to help to make decisions on improving the school and making it even better. Together with Mrs Elliott-Hammond they are responsible for writing an action plan identifying targets and showing how they are going to achieve these.

The council are responsible for making sure the teachers and adults in the school understand the thoughts and views of all the children.
